Six Times We Ate at Ernesto and Thought Something Must Have Been Going On In the Kitchen That Night

Ernesto is my family’s favorite restaurant. Birthdays, weddings, new kids…whatever the occasion, we’re eating at Ernesto. It’s where I proposed to my wife. It’s where my second child was born. Simply put, it’s the perfect place and I can’t imagine my life without it. Everyone is always so nice to us, although I must admit there have been a few instances when things were a little off.

Everyone was very nice to us, but it took two hours to get our entrées. There must have been something going on in the kitchen that night.

Home sweet home: Ernesto.

From the time we walked in to the time we left, we heard nothing but a continuous stream of shattering glass coming from the kitchen. Just glass after glass after glass. We’re not sure how they had so much glass, or why it continued to break. All we can surmise is that there must have been something going on in the kitchen that night.

Everyone was very nice to us, they just were all out of glass so we had to drink wine out of our hands. There must have been something going on in the kitchen that night.

After we ordered our appetizers, our waiter held us at gunpoint. Then, when he finally brought us our food, he was being held at gunpoint by the chef. There must have been something going on in the kitchen that night.

Service was a little slower than normal. When we got our food, it was cold and there was some blood on it. When we kindly asked our waiter if he could warm it up, his head spun around 360 and he projectile vomited into my wife’s face. I kindly responded to our lovely waiter, “you know, we’re repeat patrons here.” Then, a disembodied voice bellowed “do not tempt Azeroth, Spawn of Satan.” Of course we still tipped generously – because we love Ernesto –  but, I have to say, there must have been something going on in the kitchen that night.

Oh, what a night! The waitress flirted with me until I cried and then we made love in the walk-in freezer. I proposed to her that night. Oh baby, there was something going on in the kitchen that night.
